Lead Platform Engineer

As a lead platform engineer, you will 

  • Lead a small remote technical team to deliver product
  • Work with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to build sprint efforts
  • Possess deep understanding of technical and product requirements
  • Understand and help shape the DevOps release process
  • Participate in the development
  • Help shape the product architecture


  • Able to lead a small technical team using an Agile development process
  • Able to deliver complex solutions in a live environment
  • Able to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative
  • 8+ years of development experience
  • 3+ years of cloud development (AWS, Azure)

Required Skills

  • Golang experience in a production environment
  • Experience in large scale high volume architecture
  • CI/CD 
  • Ability to be a guide and a mentor
  • Understand tradeoffs between different architecture solutions
  • Containerization – Docker / Kubernetes / Helm
  • Fluent in at least 2 other languages (C#, Python, Java, JavaScript via Node.js, etc) used at scale
  • RDBMS (Postgres or MySQL)
  • Microservice architecture, asynchronous architecture
  • Team oriented

Familiarity with

  • Payment Systems, Payment REST APIs (usage or creation of)
  • NoSQL databases – MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB
  • Agile development practices
  • Git based source control
  • Test Automation and Deployment Automation
  • OpenAPI, GraphQL
  • Familiarity with messaging software (Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
  • REST, TCP, Websockets, protocol buffers
  • Encryption


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field


We would prefer the candidate to be located near our offices in Richardson, TX, but are willing to look at remote employees as well.
