We didn't start out trying to "fix payments."
We started out trying to connect various components: different systems, different providers, different ways of moving money. We knew it was critical to have them actually work together.
Back in 2010, the payments world was even messier than it is today. Every provider had their own way of doing things. Integrations were brittle. Changing one part of the stack meant breaking five others. Big companies were locked into decades-old relationships because switching was just too painful.
We saw an opportunity: What if there was a single layer that could sit between a business and all of its payment partners, giving them the freedom to change, adapt, and improve while preserving existing systems and processes?
So we built it.
And over the years, that orchestration layer has grown to handle billions in transactions each month for some of the largest brands in the world. Along the way, we've learned that the real value lies in making payments a strategic advantage.

Founder & CEO
Bruce Parker is the founder and CEO of ModoPayments, where he leads a team dedicated to bringing excellence to payments. A #paymentsgeek for several decades, Bruce has spent much of his career driving innovation across the global payments ecosystem, shaping products, partnerships, and strategies for some of the industry’s biggest players, like FIS and ACI Worldwide working with global banks, networks, and payments companies.
Since founding Modo in 2010, Bruce has guided its evolution from an idea about connecting disconnected systems into a patented payments orchestration platform trusted by leading enterprises. His vision for payments excellence centers on giving businesses more control, flexibility, and intelligence in how they move and manage payments.
Bruce is known for bridging gaps between old and new, legacy and digital, bank and fintech, to make payments work more seamlessly and collaboratively. When he’s not connecting payments, he’s connecting people, often over a memorable meal accompanied by a bottle of red wine he will insist is the best-valued on the menu.
